I was trained as an allopathic physician. That means that I earned a M.D. degree and was taught “traditional”, mainstream, Western medicine.

In my fourth year of medical school I gave birth to premature triplets. One son, Phillip, suffered a brain hemorrhage which resulted in him having cerebral palsy, a physical disability.

It is my personal experience with my son Phillip that has compelled me to seek solutions outside the realm of allopathic/mainstream medicine. In my search to find a “fix” for my son’s brain so that he may learn to walk, I was forced to consider therapies that at first seemed almost absurd, but that sometimes were the most beneficial after trying them.  For instance, that is why I also have hyperbaric oxygen chambers in my office, www.njhbot.com/

The incidence and prevalence of obesity, asthma, allergy, autism, and behavior problems are growing in alarming numbers. The threat of infectious diseases has diminished.

I will try to structure my pediatric practice with this in mind so that the children I treat and their parents utilize any and all modalities to stay healthy.

T he name of this practice is “Complete Pediatrics”. To me, this means using an open-minded approach to attaining optimal health for a child. I would like to use cutting edge approaches, ancient therapies, “natural”, or man-made therapeutics, allopathic or non-allopathic principals, and any strategy what-so-ever that may potentially benefit a child. (However, please note that I do not have special training as a homeopath or naturopath. Please look elsewhere if you seek these credentials.)

I also want to let my patients know that I am a moderate person when it comes to life in general, not just medicine.  I seldom have extremes in opinions and prefer compromises to disagreements.  I feel that I can have a mutually respectful conversation with people in order to take care of a child in an optimal setting.  With this in mind, I feel I am able to provide exceptional medical care that other offices do not provide.

Our mission at Complete Pediatrics is to optimize the health of infants, children, and adolescents by providing a comprehensive exam, education, counseling, preventive health care, and medical intervention as necessary. To allow the body to heal itself and to facilitate it's ability to do so. To foster a mutually respectful physician-parent relationship to enable practical, safe, and knowledge based decision making on behalf of the child. To create a pleasant, child-friendly office environment so the child enjoys their visit.
